TECHNOLOGY:

Double Down: DoubleDown (DD) is the next step in the evolution of the double layer tyre envelope for enduro race. 2 layers of 120 TPI envelope reinforced with a butyl insert provides support and protection of a downhill tyre, but with a lighter shell.

3C Maxx Grip: Special composite with low rebound and high traction for mountain tyre.

Wide Trail: Wide Trail (WT) construction optimise the rolling of the tyre and adapts to larger modern rim. Traditional tyres designed for older rim, thinner can create angulation that can affect performances. WT tyres can be used with rims of internal width from 30 to 35mm depending on the pilot.

Tubeless Ready: Tubeless technology that combines a carbon fibre bead for resistance, a ball cushion for safety and a rubber compatible with a sealing liquid for air retention, eliminating the need for an inner tube. Anti-puncture protection layer prevents from damages caused by road debris. Liquid sealant can be used to prevent loss of air pressure.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

TPI (Threads Per Inch): This is the measurement of the thread density in the tyre's body. The higher the density, the lighter, more flexible and smooth the tyre.

Bead: A tyre bead is a bundle of copper, aramid or carbon wires and it is the part of the tyre that anchors it to the rim. Rigid beads (TR) are made from copper and soft beads (TS) are made of aramid or carbon. They are lighter and more resistant allowing the tyre to bend without damage:

  • Rigid bead: robustness (33 to 66 TPI)
  • Soft bead (66 à 127 TPI)
