USE:
Enduro means sports use on rolling hills or mountains. It can entail all kinds of distances and medium to high intensity. It tends to be downhill, where you try to get to the bottom as quickly as possible, but climbing is possible by pedalling and requires a versatile bike that allows you to ride without losing too much energy. Enduro bikes are designed to be efficient downhill with great pedalling capacity.
Full suspension bikes with a travel between 150 and 170 mm tend to be used most commonly for this discipline.
SERVICE:
Bike Workshop: In the interests of quality, safety and user comfort, all bikes sold by Private Sport Shop are checked and adjusted either by the brand or our own certified technician.
The technician checks the following:
- a user manual is included.
- adjustments: brakes, transmission, suspension and steering.
- checks for any anomalies on the frame and other parts
Some parts (wheels, seat post, pedals, etc.) are dismantled for security reasons during transport. The user will need to assemble the parts upon receipt.
TECHNOLOGY:
Zero: Zero is the name of Mondraker's patented suspension system at the heart of the full-suspension range. The Zero system belongs to the category of systems known as "virtual pivot systems" because of its mechanical configuration. In this group, Zero's main difference is that the shock absorber floats between the two links that articulate the system, on the other hand, these links compress the shock absorber from both ends. Depending on the system tuning based on each ride, the lower link compresses an average of 35% of the displacement of the shock absorber while the upper link compresses it by 65%. The position of the shock absorber and its compression on both sides are what make the system unique on the market. • Zero energy loss. The system neutralises any possible back and forth movement caused by pedalling, the force applied to the pedals is immediately translated into thrust without creating unnecessary compression or extension movements in the shock absorber.
• Zero pedalling interference The elongation of the chain is imperceptible the entire ride so no stretch or shrinkage gets in the way of smooth pedalling.
• Zero interaction with brakes. The system configuration does not extend or compress the suspension when the rear brake is applied. The suspension continues to steadily absorb the forces produced by the caliper, regardless of the braking action.
• Zero holes. The system has excellent absorption capacity combined with pedalling efficiency at all times. The trajectory of the rear wheel axis and its linear character easily absorb all types of impacts.
