TECHNOLOGY:

ReBOTL™:Around the world, the use of plastic water bottles is on the rise and thus the same goes for rubbish heaps. But thanks to forward-thinkers billions of bottles around the world are collected, recycled and transformed into RPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) yarns. Products made with this durable material contain at least 50% recycled PET.

Every day, hundreds of Timberland products are made with this eco-friendly material that is better for the planet compared to PET or non-recycled polyester.

Ideal for businesses, it also supports jobs. Since 2009 the equivalent of 310 million plastic bottles have found new life in their products, 41 million plastic bottles in 2017.

Aerocore™:aerodynamic soles are inspired by athletics. The raised curves give them a modern style. These soles have a light polyurethane foam for cushioning as well as comfort and bounce with each step. These soles are made with a small amount of durable rubber to keep the feeling of lightness. The materials used have a high level of resistance and are made to last.

ORTHOLITE®:Engineered from open cell polyurethane, Ortholite soles retain 95% of their cushioning after one year of use, whereas ordinary soles lose 70% of their cushioning over the same time period.

The Ortholite® sole is light and breathable. The air circulates, to help evacuate heat and moisture to keep the feet dry. The environmentally-friendly biocide treatment is antimicrobial and creates a healthier environment for the feet. The advantages of Ortholite® Open-Cell Technology are:

  • Durable cushioning
  • Moisture management
  • High level of breathability
  • Easy to wash
  • Antimicrobial
  • Lightweight
  • CERTIFICATION:

CERTIFIED TANNERY:The main component(s) consists of at least 50% leather from a tannery that has been classified as Silver or Gold by an independent environmental monitoring body. The Leather Working Group evaluates and ranks tanneries according to their energy consumption, waste production and water treatment process.
