TECHNOLOGY:
DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.
BACK SYSTEM:
Deuter Alpine System: For backpacks intended for mountain use, it is essential that durability and function are optimally matched to the weight. The Alpine system meets this balance perfectly. Perfectly adapted to the body, the two SoftStripe pads gently hug the back with each movement. Combined with the pack's slim storage, the load is always close to the centre of gravity. With full control of the backpack, this lets you concentrate on your surroundings in tough terrain.
Results: The Alpine system combines a firm and secure position with excellent carrying comfort and pleasant ventilation between the two SoftStripe back cushions.
DELRIN®: Delrin® is a registered trademark of Dupont™ de Nemours. It is an acetal resin launched in the 60's. It is a crystalline plastic made by polymerising formaldehyde. Characteristics:

- Good resilience and resistance to creeping
Variflex: VariFlex 3D hip fins for even load transfer that saves energy. They follow all movements and the ergonomic design adapts individually. The multi-layered soft and compact foam structure absorbs pressure and, reinforced with a synthetic material, efficiently transfers the load without compressing. The compression straps on the fins regulate the load distribution and increase stability.
FIT:
SL WOMEN'S FIT: The SL line for women was developed by a team of female designers and athletes. Characteristics:
- Short back: The SL carry system is slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard rucksacks.
- Thinner shoulder straps: Soft edges to the straps and narrow tapered strap ends prevent the SL shoulder straps from chafing under the arms. The straps are also closer to each other to prevent them sliding off narrow shoulders.
- Conical hip fins: To contour the female hip perfectly, the closed hip belt needs a conical shape. This conical shape is achieved by angling the belt diagonally upwards and by curving the SL hip belt fins.
COMPOSITION:
330D PA 6.6 Ripstop: A blend of 330 denier nylon with extreme tear and traction resistance. Using nylon 6.6 makes the material very durable and robust. The perfect material for big packs. The polyurethane coating makes it waterproof with a water column up to 2,000 mm.
