Matryx: A patented technology, combining the remarkable strength of carbon and polyamide for excellent resistance to abrasion, support adapted to the morphology of the foot and outstanding breathability.

Energy Full Carbon SLR: The lightest soles from Mavic. Handcrafted from unidirectional carbon fibre reinforced with thermosetting epoxy resin for optimal rigidity. The fibres are hand-placed in the matrix according to the tension they will have to bear. Thanks to its unidirectional carbon fibres, the SLR provides a high-performance shoe that is adapted to the specific pressure points of cycling. The ventilation is specifically designed to create inner air flow inside the shoes to keep your feet dry.

ORTHOLITE®: Engineered from open cell polyurethane, Ortholite soles retain 95% of their cushioning after one year of use, whereas ordinary soles lose 70% of their cushioning over the same time period.

The Ortholite® sole is light and breathable. The air circulates, to help evacuate heat and moisture to keep the feet dry. The environmentally-friendly biocide treatment is antimicrobial and creates a healthier environment for the feet. The advantages of Ortholite® Open-Cell Technology are:

BOA® IP1: This revolutionary system ensures personalised comfort with precise and even fastening, reducing pressure points.

COMPOSITION:

Kevlar®: Best known for its use in resistant armour, Kevlar® is an aramid fibre developed by DuPont™. It is a thermoplastic polymer consisting of aromatic rings which are separated by the amide groups. It is also used in various garments, accessories and equipment to enhance safety and abrasion resistance. It is light, durable and resistant.

This is a synthetic fibre which has excellent tensile properties and a high tensile strength. The toughness of Kevlar comes from its structure of hydrogen bonds held together between polymer chains.
