All mountain means sports use on rolling hills or mountains. It can entail all kinds of distances and medium to high intensity, with lots of uphill and downhill. All mountain bikes are designed to be as versatile as possible for maximum pedalling efficiency, while maintaining comfort for technical downhill slopes. The position is slightly laid back to enable pedalling and handling. Full suspension bikes with a travel between 120 and 140 mm tend to be used most commonly for this discipline. |
