TECHNOLOGY:

DWR: This coating allows water to form beads and run off the shell fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric increases insulation and prevents it from being saturated by liquids, preventing any feeling of dampness.

DEFENDER®: A product of Eider research, the Defender® membrane guarantees wind-resistance, windproofing and breathability. The material's elasticity allows freedom of movement.

E-LOFT®: Developed by Eider, E-Loft is a unstructured polyester fill whose fibres are sufficiently far apart to trap the maximum amount of air, and thus provide the warmth you need to enjoy winter sports activities. The long fibres are positioned to make the insulation supple and breathable.

CERTIFICATION:

Low Impact™: Low Impact™ is based on 2 criteria that are essential to eco-design: the use of materials with a low environmental impact (at least 40% of the weight of the product is made from low impact materials such as Ecoya, Sorona®, tencel, hemp, RDS feathers), or certified materials (at least 80% of the product weight must be certified Bluesign®, Oeko-Tex®).

PFC-Free Water-Repellency: PFCs are made up of polluting chemical, traditionally used in DWR treatments for durable water-repellency. EIDER is working on a more eco-friendly process without perfluorinated compounds, which will still maintain expected level of quality with the target of eventually eliminating all PFCs.
