ORTHOLITE®: Engineered from open cell polyurethane, Ortholite soles retain 95% of their cushioning after one year of use, whereas ordinary soles lose 70% of their cushioning over the same time period. The Ortholite® sole is light and breathable. The air circulates, to help evacuate heat and moisture to keep the feet dry. Defender Repellent Systems™ is a treatment that repels stains, oil and water. It is sprayed directly onto the shoes in the factory. It protects suede, nubuck and canvas materials by creating a water-resistant and stainproof barrier. It does not affect the product's breathability, texture or colours. A single spray application guarantees high efficiency.
TimberGrip™: This technology offers higher traction and adherence levels It contains 50% organic materials, of which 3% resins derived from waste paper pulp and 47% natural rubber. Natural resins made from waste paper pulp is mixed with natural rubber to create soles that provide optimal grip.
COMPOSITION:
EVA: The moulded EVA foam insert is particularly flexible. It helps improve shock absorption and lightness.
Recycled PET: Products with this logo have high quality fabric fibres obtained from the recycling of plastic bottles. The recycling of plastic bottles helps create durable and solid polyester fabrics which perfectly wick sweat. This material used by Timberland for over 10 years is nowadays also integrated into certain shoe linings and laces.
CERTIFICATION:
CSilver Rated Tanneries: This logo means that one or more major components use at least 50% leather tanned in a facility rated Silver or higher by a third-party environmental audit (LWG). This label ensures a high quality leather from tanneries which are renowned for their eco-friendly engagement trough criteria such as waist management, CO2 emissions as well as the control of water and energy consumption.
