EPS Light Weight Carbon Fibre MTB Sole: Gaerne technology combined with the know-how of Michelin's designers and technicians, gave birth to the EPS Light Weight Carbon Fibre MTB sole, offering the right blend of performance, durability, strength and lightness. The structure is made of carbon for excellent stiffness and pedalling power. The Michelin rubber tread combines a compound designed to balance performance and abrasion resistance, even in extreme conditions, with a design profile that enables excellent hold and traction. The large distance between the treads helps improve self-cleaning and instant mud shedding. For the riders who need even more grip, two holes in the toe cup help with attaching screw-on and interchangeable cleats.
EPS Comfort Insole: Anatomic insole made with a support for the tarsal area, ensuring maximum comfort and pedalling efficiency. The perforated insole ensures optimal venting inside the shoe.
Dual FCS (Dual Fitting Closure System): An innovative fitting system with two Boa® IP1 micro-adjustable dials with 4 guides for each. These elements help obtain a precise, fast and personalised fit across the front of the shoe, without pressure points.
Air Ventilation System: The entire range of Gaerne shoes guarantee optimal ventilation and temperature regulation for comfortable pedalling.
Comfort Fit Tongue: Perforated shoe tongue for better interior ventilation. It has a unique construction with special padding.
Heel Cup: This anatomic injection-moulded plastic heel does not deform over time. The design reduces the risk of tendinitis and the non-slip inner coating provides control and stability.
Diagonal Closure System: Innovative Diagonal Closure System uses two BOA IP -1 micrometric dials and velcro tab. These three separate elements are positioned diagonally to prevent pressure points on the instep. This combination enables quick fastening.
