TECHNOLOGY:

MIPS: MIPS is used to reduce the rotational forces to the brain in the case of an oblique impact. Smith helmets are created to absorb direct impacts very efficiently and when combined with MIPS, Smith helmets absorb oblique forces better by allowing a small rotation of the outer shell relative to the liner.

LIFESTYLE FIT SYSTEM: Built around the forgiving properties of elastic, the self-adjusting Lifestyle Fit System is designed to flex around the wearer's head, providing a dynamic fit. Additional lateral adjustability on the fit system arms allows it to accommodate a wide range of head sizes. With the Lifestyle Fit System, you'll experience comfort and mobility from a fit system you'll never have to think about.

AIREVAC 2: The AirEvac 2 system directs hot air to the exterior of the goggles via external vents and internal channels in the expanded polystyrene coating. The air flow can be adjusted using the Regulator control system of the helmet.

AIRFLOW: Airflow ventilation uses strategically placed vents for easy climate control in all conditions. Vent placement maximizes airflow and heat exhaustion in warm temperatures while minimizing undesired cold air drafts. Fabric flaps in the lining design on certain models allow you to open and close the airflow vents for adjustable comfort.

COMPOSITION:

Injected ABS: A high resistance construction with improved shock absorption compared to other constructions. Helmets made this way have 2 parts that are joined and glued: a hard ABS outer shell and an expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam inner layer.

The ABS material is recognised for its shockproof properties, hardness and lightness that allows it to be moulded easily. Expanded polystyrene (EPS) provides thermal insulation and resistance to shocks and compression.
