 HELMET TECHNOLOGY:

The intuitive, single-handed micro-adjustment Smith & Boa system features of self-centring and vertical adjustability, allowing the user to achieve a perfectly customised fit.

AIREVAC 2: The AirEvac 2 system directs hot air to the exterior of the goggles via external vents and internal channels in the expanded polystyrene coating. The air flow can be adjusted using the Regulator control system of the helmet.

X-STATIC®: Tested by Olympic athletes, American special forces and NASA astronauts, X-Static® guarantees unbeatable protection and performance. Made from 99.% pure silver, X-Static® improves products by providing permanent anti-microbial and anti-odour properties. X-Static® also has natural temperature control properties to maintain performance.

 HELMET TECHNOLOGY:

FOG-X: The Fog-X lens treatment employs a hydrophilic, micro-etched surface to absorb moisture and disperse it over a wide surface area to prevent fogging. Since the FOG-X is physically carved into the lens, it can’t be wiped away like other anti-fog coatings.

CARBONIC-X: The Carbonic-X outer lens material is individually moulded to offer optimum scratch and impact resistance, increased visual acuity and enhanced contrast sensitivity. The Carbonic-X material meets Class 1 optical standards.

TLT: When light passes through a medium it refracts, i.e. changes course. If left uncorrected, this refraction can cause visual distortion and eye fatigue. This technology straightens out the incoming light rays by progressively tapering the lens from the optical centre toward the peripheral view. What this means for you is that you see with 100% accuracy and maximum comfort.

RESPONSIVE FIT: This design lets you adjust the lens to fit to the curve of your face. Each face is different. By reducing the quantity of material and creating a flexible latex architecture, Smith frames act like a suspension system that adjusts to the millimetre to your unique facial structure, guaranteeing a precise and comfortable fit.

COMPOSITION:

In-Mold: Construction with unique moulding between the outer shell and the inner lining, significantly reducing the weight of the helmet and providing more efficient ventilation. This unique construction also improves diffusion of the impact over a larger part of the helmet.

The outer shell made from polycarbonate (known for its excellent impact resistance) is directly moulded with the expanded polystyrene (EPS) inner foam.

LENS CONSTRUCTION:

Cylindrical: Cylindrical lenses are built on a base curve only in the X (horizontal) axis to fit to the face. They are relatively flat, so do not distort your view. They tend to be worn by regular skiers, especially for piste skiing.

CATEGORY:

Category 2 solar lenses will filter out 58% to 82% of ambient sunlight. This protection is effective in medium sunlight conditions. Category 2 lenses can be worn in periods of variable sunlight and between seasons, for example at the beginning of spring and the end of autumn.
