O'neill Blue: The very oceans that created O'Neill are threatened by a veritable tsunami of plastic waste, estimated at over 8 million tonnes invading the world's seas every year.
This tragedy inspired O'Neill Blue, Our Ocean Mission, an initiative to produce sustainable surfwear using high-performance eco-fibres designed by Bionic, and containing recycled plastic recovered from beaches.
O'neill Hyperdry: Treatment with Hydrophobic DWR (Durable Water Repellency) Nano-Technology. Allows the textile to dry very quickly and rejects water outside the material, while maintaining good breathability and natural softness.
DWR: This coating allows water to bead up and run off the outer layer of the fabric instead of being absorbed. The water-repellent outer fabric provides extra insulation and prevents liquid from saturating the outer fabric, preventing any feeling of dampness and wetness.
Firewall: When used on products with insulation (e.g. 3M™ Thinsulate™, Primaloft® or down insulation), O'Neill Firewall reduces weight, retains warmth and provides more comfort in extreme cold.
Firewall Magma : The modern design on the back of this jacket is the O'Neill Firewall Magma. It is a thermal pattern that absorbs energy and retains significantly more body heat than a conventional lining by up to 25% more.
